Law #1 - All Things are Possible
This states that all things are possible. The problem is that you might
not understand how to accomplish that which you seek to do.
To show this effect it was once thought to be impossible to go to the moon or
to fly. If you look back into the dark ages quite a few other things were
thought to be impossible. As we learned and grew eventually we figured out
how to accomplish them.
The fact is that it is impossible to say what might or might not be
done in the near or far future. I could say that I am a time traveler from
about two billion years in the future. Until you can prove one hundred
percent that time travel isn’t possible in that time frame it is impossible to
call me a liar. You may be able to prove that the possibilities are or
aren’t that I am such a person, but never one hundred percent. That
assumes you don’t wish to live until that time period to know for
sure.
Law #2 - Because everyone believes it, doesn't mean it is true
This says, just because everyone says something is so they could be
wrong. It is just as simple as that.
We can look back to the dark ages here as well. Man once thought the
earth was flat and was at the center of the universe. Many religions and
governments even used violence in many cases to enforce this point. The
point is that they were wrong.
Who knows what modern technology or science will end up the same
way? This is impossible to say or not say until it happens.
Law #3 - The mind is capable of more then we will ever know
The average human uses at best twenty five percent of his mind. What is
the other percentage used for? It is impossible to know.
We can look at computers here. Each time it evolves they become more
powerful. Until the next generation of computers are built it simply isn’t
possible to know what they will be like. In this aspect the human mind is
the same way.
We can say for certain what the first twenty five percent of our mind is used
for. The question is what is the other seventy five percent used
for? How do we know if it is broken? How do we know if it is being
used correctly? How do we know that people aren’t already using it?
Quite often over the years the unusual has happened. How do we tend to
treat those people who say they have unusual abilities? Many times what
many called witches or demons and such were simply the effects of using that
other portion of their minds. In many cases these extra bright people have
been treated poorly at best.
Many religions have the reputation of having extra abilities or
powers. Could it be with training it is possible to gain access to those
other parts of the mind? This is what the works main goal is to
accomplish.
Law #4 - People have their own emotions and feelings
People feel their own emotions for their own reasons. It isn’t possible
to honestly say what another person is or isn’t feeling. In many cases it
is quite possible the definition or word used for the feeling in question is
different then what you would think it is.
To show this point we can look at a hot pepper. Quite often people will
think various ways about it. Some people will say it is to hot.
Other people will say it is just right. Yet other people will say it isn’t
hot enough. Using different people and the same hot pepper eventually you
will see all three of these answers.
Feelings and emotions work on the same way. You simply have
to accept what another person says and acts at face value.
Law #5 - Free Will - the power to change yourself, there by changing the
Free will isn’t the ability to do what you want when you want. It is
however the ability to choose how you act or adapt to a situation.
To show this we can take a stereotype person into question. That is we
will use a perfect example of different people.
First we will use the perfect priest. This person won’t steal, harm or
commit any other crime against a person. Quite often they will go out of
their way to help their fellow man. The reason for this isn’t that they
can or can’t choose not to. It is because they have chosen to train
themselves to act in this way.
A criminal on the other hand is different. The reason he is a criminal
is because he has chosen to commit some sort of crime. Each time he
chooses to commit this crime he trains himself to commit it again instead of not
committing it.
In each of these instances it is possible for the person to choose
something else. Only they have chosen to act in the way they do.
They have reinforced this behavior and increased the chance it will happen
again. It isn’t the ability to choose that is lacking, but the desire to
change the action performed.
Law #6 - Time is like a book, once written it becomes unchangeable
To consider time think of a book. In this book everything that happens
is written down as soon as it happens. If one were to look back in time
all they need to do is read this book.
In theory it is possible to wonder what would happen to go back in time and
kill your parents. This is not possible. Everything you have already
done when you went back into time is already written. You just don’t yet
understand the reasons why you acted, as you are yet to act.
In fact, you can’t go back in time to kill someone who is standing
in front of you when you do. The simple fact is that you failed for some
reason. That doesn’t mean you can’t make the attempt to do
so.
