Basic

There are two basic kinds of hormones.  Those are sex hormones and gender hormones.  The two kinds are not the same.  They don’t perform similar functions.

Birth Hormones

These are the hormones that form while a fetus is in the mother.  It determines the possibility of being either male or female.  In some cases it is possible to be both male and female.  In extremely rare circumstances it must be possible to be born with out either sex.

The reason it is possible for dual sex organs is because there is a different hormone to form each sex.  If both hormones are present then each sex will be present.

These hormones have no control or influence after birth.  The reason here is that it is possible to develop gender characteristics opposite of the sex a person is born with.  In this case neither of the sex hormones are present.  If it is possible for one to be present then the other is absent.  In this case both are absent.

Gender Hormones

These hormones determine if a person develops as a man or a woman.  That is a man develops muscles and a woman holds on to her fat.  It is the muscle that burns off the fat.  It is the fat, which gives a woman her curves.

With these hormones it is possible to have one or the other.  It is also possible to have both or none.  Actually the human body does require certain amounts of hormones for both genders.  It is simply the amounts that vary and determine gender.

In some instances it is possible for a female to produce more mans hormone.  It must also therefore be possible for a male to produce more women’s hormones.

The effect of two much of both hormones would be a very shapely and powerful body.  Whichever hormone level is higher would determine which gender.  The result of low or lack of both hormones would be an underdeveloped body.

Testosterone

This is the primary masculine hormone.  It is the one that produces muscle.  It will also produce and sustain body hair as well.

Estrogen

This is the main woman’s hormone.  Its primary purpose is to soften the skin and produce body fat.  This is the primary hormone that produces a woman’s curves.

Secondary functions are that it removes body hair and produces scalp hair.  It will also interfere with lactation as well.

Progesterone

The primary purpose of this hormone is to ready and prepare a woman’s breast for breast-feeding.  It will increase sensitivity, size and shape of the breast.  It will also inhibit lactation as well.

Oestrogen

This is a lesser or weaker form of estrogen.  Its primary concern is also on breast development.

Prolactin

This hormone does two things.  First it helps form the breast.  In this function it adds the ability to produce milk.  The results are that milk is produced in greater quantities.

Oxytoxin

This is the hormone that releases milk.  Larger amounts will ease the struggle to lactate and breast feed.  It will also increase any stains that may be produced as well.
