Rest

Sooner or later everyone needs to rest or sleep.  This gives both the mind and body a chance to relax and rejuvenate.  Different people require different amounts.  This concept is similar to the law of reality dealing with feelings.

Various forms of resting do various things.  Some relax the body.  Others relax the mind or the conscious.

Relaxation is simply doing something you find enjoyable.  This allows some action as well as letting your mind focus on pleasanter things.  This still works mostly with conscious mind.  Quite often simple repetitive motion will give our conscious minds a chance to relax.  This is because our bodies can perform many routine motions with out always paying full attention to them.

The danger here is if a person is so tired they start daydreaming to deeply.  In this case they pay less and less attention to what they are doing.  In many cases it becomes possible to fall asleep while driving or another such dangerous activity.  It is important to pay attention to when you do and don’t let your mind wander.

The second form of relaxation is allowing your will to relax.  In this form your body and conscious mind are at ease.  This allows plays, books, TV, radio and the like to be able to relax us.  We allow our conscious mind to give up a limited amount of control and that which we are paying attention to be given the power to lead us, as it will.

The third form is daydreaming.  In this the subconscious takes a little more control.  The conscious mind backs off even more here.  It is the subconscious that generally rules the dream world.

Sleeping is the last form of relaxation.  In this the body is totally at piece.  In fact it is possible that the more motion performed will cause less sleep to occur.  In this form both the conscious and the body are totally relax and allowed to let go.

The diagram used here is the idea of the ladder.  Each step higher is a deeper level of relaxation.

Human Electricity

The human body is a wondrous thing.  It contains its produces and contains its own energy within itself.  This energy is in a form very similar to a car battery.  Because of this electricity flowing within us our body also acts as an electronic circuit.

The effects of this can be proven in a many different ways.  Through science and medicine there are many machines that can manipulate and read those energy levels.  Any common equipment that reads or measures electricity should work on the human body as well.

A common multi-meter is one of the easiest to obtain.  You will want a digital one though.  An analog may not be sensitive enough to measure the human body.  You can pick one of these up at any decent electronics store very cheaply.

Make sure you set the switch on the meter to DC.  Normal household current runs on two polarities.  The human body normally can't reproduce that kind of energy.  Hold one lead in each hand.  Watch the readings.

Through meditation it is possible to manipulate those readings.  This of course would depend on your own abilities.  It would be best to have another person watch the readings.  If you did it on your own, it could interfere with the meditative process.  The results would set the readings off on the accuracy.

Another piece of equipment is an Oscilloscope.  This takes measurements of electronic components.  From these measurements it produces an image of its wave pattern.  This is a picture of how the energy flows through that component.  From this picture it is possible to tell if a component is working properly or not.

The human body also produces such a pattern.  This pattern though is normally quite erratic and jumbled.  If a person was to practice mediation this pattern can be quieted down.  From experimentation it has been show that the human waveform should be a strait line.

The energy the human body produces is very similar to that of a car battery.  Car batteries in many cases must be maintained in order to function properly.  The human body is no exception.

Through normal functions car batteries lose water.  This occurs because the process of creating electricity upsets the chemical composition of the water inside of it.  Another effect of this chemical change is that the water loses its efficiency.  The power levels it is capable of maintaining also drops after a while.

The same things must happen with in our own bodies.  The human body is 90% water.  One reason for this is so that we can create and maintain that electricity level.  Because of that constant use of electricity in our bodies we require the water levels to be constantly added to.  We also require it to be cleansed and changed daily.  Drinking water also performs this action.

Water

Water is important in any diet.  This is for many reasons.

The first is simply that the human body has so many different ways of losing moisture.  A short list of that consists of relieving your self of pressure, breathing, tears and sweat.

A second reason is that your body is similar to a cars battery.  It produces electricity in much the same way.  As with in a car battery liquid is both used and transformed.  Every so often every car battery requires a little water added to it just to make up the lost liquid.  Also during the life of the battery the liquid loses its quality and must be replaced.

A third reason is that water takes up room inside of you.  The more room the water takes up, the less room for solids.

Drinking water both replaces and cleans what has been used up in a normal day.  The question really is how much water do we need?

For quite some time I have both read and heard that the amount is any where from 8 to 16 glasses of water a day.  This statement however requires both a 50-pound kid and a 300-pound man to require the same amount of water.  This just isn’t accurate.

Another rule that I believe is a little closer to the truth is as follows.  Take your weight; say for example you weight 500 pounds.  Divide that by 2, now the example is 250 pounds.  Simply remove the pounds and call it ounces instead.  That is how many ounces of water you should be drinking each day.

            500 pounds/2 = 250 pounds

            250 pounds = 250 ounces

Body Fat

Body fat is simply the amount of fat your body contains.  There are however a few different ways to help regulate this.

The first is by your eating habits.  The less fat you eat will give your body less fat to store.  It will also force your body to use the reserves it has already stored.

The second is by drinking water.  Drinking water will quickly change how much body fat you have by changing the percentage of your total weight.  It may require an accumulative effect to have any real noticeable effects.

The third way is by building muscle.  Each ounce of muscle you have requires a certain amount of calories and protein to maintain itself.  This is a constant rate be it day or night.  Increase your amount of muscle mass and increase your amount of fat reduction.

The fourth way is by exercising.  The more you exercise the more you burn off.  This however will tend to be a quick loss noticeable at the end of the day if not the end of the exercise period.
